Gift Basket Ideas for Father's Day
by Cyndi Roberts

This year, why not surprise Dad with a themed gift basket
containing items geared to his special interests?  Gift
baskets are easy, frugal and fun to make!

Some ideas:

For the BBQ chef, arrange BBQ tools, packages of meat
tenderizer, bottles of marinade, gift certificate from
the meat market on a handy tray.

For the Dad who loves to walk or jog, fill a tote bag with
a pedometer, sweat bands, a water bottle holder, tapes for
his Walkman, socks or a neat T-shirt.

Is your Dad a sports fan?  Use a "team cap" as a basket and
add a subscription to a sports magazine, a poster of a
favorite player, tickets to a game.

Does your Dad love to take pictures?  Fill a new camera
bag with film, camera batteries, coupons for developing pics,
photo albums, picture frames or a new lens he's been
wishing for.

If your Dad is a coffee fanatic, how about a basket filled
with gourmet coffees he would never buy for himself?  Or
make up some jar mixes of flavored coffees.  Finish it off
with a big mug.

For the Dad who loves to watch movies, give a gift
certificate for one or two movie rentals, or movie tickets
in a big bowl with a packet of microwave popcorn and a big
jug of cola.

Does your Dad have a car he's really proud of?  Give him
an assortment of polishes, cleaners and wax all wrapped up
in a brand new chamois.

Be sure to add a little handmade touch, such as a gift card
with a handwritten sentiment.
Any Dad will be pleased to receive a gift basket that is
wrapped with love from his children or grandchildren!
